Nick’s Story
Nick is not only a technologist but also a spiritual artist who creates and shares digital sacred geometry as light show installations at festivals, music circles, and spiritual gatherings.
An avid traveler, Nick loves to hear and tell stories, connecting the dots of humankind's common issues through conversations with people from all walks of life, to help better understand the full picture of humanity. His curious, open-minded approach and intuition for finding exceptional people: creatives, technologists, and healers on a similar path of awakening, are key factors behind his incredible gift for high-impact public speaking.
Nick spends much of his time reflecting on the interplay between tech and the future of humanity and in particular on how to shift the widespread mindset of resistance against technological advancements. He is involved in many communities including the weekly Lisbon New Tech meet up and enjoys hosting remarkable humans on the Modern Mantra podcast.
Nick found himself immersed in the world of tech in his early teens after experiencing the dark side. It all began when his grandmother was tragically killed in a texting-and-driving accident. He saw that tech was consuming humans and creating a culture absent of mental presence. He channeled this heartbreak into his first app, “Pause”, which auto-responded to texts and calls while driving.
Since then, Nick has been involved in a wide range of cutting-edge work from subaquatic robotics, HP’s executive fast-track path, to engineering ride share software and eventually independent software development. With years of consulting under his belt he became a CTO for YourSuper before co-founding his current company, Modern Mantra, a venture design studio focused on the intersection of technology and spirituality.
